After all, what can be a better way to spend our time in lockdown, than learning the Qur’an? The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said, “The best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teaches it.” This sort of thing happens every day, with every minute being used to recite the same Surahs over and over, which gets rather repetitive and could display an attitude of praying Taraweeh as a burden, when it should be a spiritual activity that is cherished. Generally, people tend to recite the little amount of the Qur’an they know, or repeat the shorter Surah’s of Juzz Ammah, when they pray at home. We as a Muslim community will have to pray our Taraweeh, confined in the walls of our homes. Ramadhan is nearly here, and we are in lockdown due to Covid-19.
